Stop People Dying Too Young - Digital Projects with Impact

All of our projects have an impact, whether it be on individuals, companies or policy makers. This is at the heart of what we do, giving a voice and a platform to those who feel excluded. We also don’t disappear at the end of the project, we keep in touch with our partners to see what, if anything, has changed or developed and we’re always pleased to hear that there’s been lasting impact as a result of some of our work.

Stop People Dying Too Young is one of those projects.

In the summer of 2021, Digital Voice worked with Inclusion North to support a group to create a film in response to the Learning disability mortality review (LeDeR) annual report. A report that concludes that people with a learning disability have over 20 years less life than the wider population. The same conclusion was reached in the previous report and the one before that. Our participants quite rightly want to know ‘what has changed?’

“Our film has been shared across health and social care in the North East and it has been shown at the start of important meetings. We have had great feedback that it is really impactful and gets our important message across. Using a combination of our photos and the film and adding the music works really well to make an impact with our message. It was great working with Digital Voice. They are really professional, we were really well looked after, and we knew our deadline would be met.”

Karen Parry, CEO, Inclusion North.
