Norman Cornish Art Trail
The John Kitson archway of Spennymoor Town Hall saw the opening of a fabulous permanent exhibition of famous local artist’s work, as well as a trail around ten locations in the town, painted by the artist who learned his craft while still a miner. The works picture everyday life and Digital Voice was privileged to produce an audio trail to complement this.
There is an installation at every location on the trail, including Cornish’s painting of the scene and a QR code taking you directly to the audio recorded about the painting and that spot. Each is a moving piece, bringing laughter, tears and sparking vivid memories of life in a colliery town. The trail can be found on the website www.normancornish.com
