Step up 09 Multimedia Project

Groups around the country filmed interviews with their peers on their thoughts on walking to school. They also created animations to get their message across.

'It is great to see them so enthused and creative - it's what education should be about!'

Who Took Part

Young people from high schools across the North East and London. Facilitators across the South East also took part in a one day train the trainers course to upskill them to deliver similar projects.

Purpose

Living Streets asked us to run this as part of their national Step Up campaign to encourage young people to walk more. The workshops enabled representatives of participating schools to have hands-on experience of a range of media options to communicate persuasive messages about walking to and from school.
