A Group of carers get better connected with their family.
Digital Voice worked with groups of adults who care for someone who lives in County Durham.
We were approached to help carers become less isolated by connecting with family and friends online.
The groups were consulted about how they’d like to develop their I.T. skills so they could get online and become confident with using the internet. Each group came up with ideas of what they’d like to do such as shopping online when they can’t get out, skyping loved-ones and using special apps for carers.
The participants have gained a lot of confidence using the internet and learned a lot in a short time. Some people even bought themselves a tablet after week one of the course!
The groups had the opportunity to learn new ways of communicating and becoming au fait with iPad technology.
We hope to roll out these courses to anyone who doesn’t have the skills to get online and use the internet to improve their quality of life.Back
