Young Carers get ahead with Digital CVs

11th April 2016

Digital Voice has developed a new training course aimed at enhancing job prospects for people seeking work across the North East. DVe worked with a small group of young people to develop a digital version of a CV, which they will use to show employers the skills they have.

Ant Lea from Crossroads Care said: ‘As part of our work supporting young adult carers around employability, this year we began a new project with Digital Voice that encouraged participants to explore their achievements, skills and qualities. ‘Through the process of designing, filming and editing interviews, the group were able to explore positive aspects of themselves, as well as how to communicate this in an interview situation. The course achieved its goals – Ant reported: ‘Participants reported raised confidence, and a greater appreciation of their own achievements and the things that make them uniquely them.’

Digital Voice is now seeking funding to offer this training region-wide to others who would benefit.’
