The premiere of You could go FAR! was screened at Newcastle's Assembly Rooms to an audience of residents, volunteers, local and national politicians and other community representatives.
Fenham Association of Residents - better known as FAR - told their story in a 30 minute video to mark nearly forty years of transforming their area.
Local MP Jim Cousins presented trophies to the many people who had contributed over the decades to the improvements. He praised the video as telling a positive story of what can be achieved by local communities.
Digital Voice produced the video, working closely with local residents. Animator Ellie Land was invited to join the project to illustrate key stages of the history of the volunteers.
The project was funded by the Community Foundation, Awards for All, Age Concern, the David Dockray Fund, and Lloyds TSB Foundation.
