Exhibition Leads to greater things Juice Festival Booking

12th April 2013

Members of the inclusive Photography Club for young people have been chosen to share their talents with others during the Juice Festival which is held in Newcastle and Gateshead in late October. After a successful pilot scheme in 2012, the group was expanded and has now been funded again by Newcastle Council.

The group which has worked with Digital Voice for more than a year will be helping to create a professional standard exhibition in a gallery.

The young members of the Newcastle-based Photography Club have met regularly throughout this year to produce work using many different technical methods and developing their skills, particularly using iPads. The new exhibition at Newcastle City Library shows the high standard of work that has been achieved and showcases their talents. It is on until 6th April.

Their presentation was really well received by parents and professionals alike; Lynn Campbell, the club’s Project Manager for Newcastle Council’s Arts Development Team said ‘I was touched by the commitment of the group, their support for one another and of course by the stunning photographs’.
