Joining the Board of Directors is Elaine Scott, currently Managing Communications Manager with energy efficiency organisation, tadea. Former roles were with One North East, Business Link and Three Rivers Housing Group
Her appointment is made as Digital Voice passes another milestone. It has completed four years in its work to harness the power of hands-on media participation to provide personal development for people and groups often marginalised from having a voice.
"More than 4000 people have taken part in Digital Voice projects in our first four years," said Julie Nicholson, founder Director.
"We're delighted to welcome Elaine to the team - her expertise will strengthen still further the services we offer."
Digital Voice for Communities is a Community Interest Company - and is the first media organisation in the North East to be recognised by the Social Enterprise Mark.
