Carers get back inTouch

6th October 2015

Feedback from a pilot course developed by Digital Voice for carers in County Durham has shown that many of those who took part in basic inTouch iPad courses were so encouraged that they want to learn more. They so enjoyed using iPads to keep in touch online that DV acted on their views and created three follow-on courses.

Project Coordinator Julie Nicholson said: “We have raised the funds to provide the new follow-on courses, called inTouch 2, and have been overwhelmed by the reaction from carers when we contacted them with the good news. It’s been lovely to see everyone again.”

Digital Voice is now seeking funding to expand the service, to offer inTouch 2 to those who recently attended the basic course in Gateshead, and also to roll out the courses region-wide.’
