Five animated films about the Angel of the North created by young people across Gateshead have been given a special preview screening at Gateshead Old Town Hall.
Fifty young people developed their stories to mark the tenth anniversary of the arrival of the Angel. The films are to be shown at the Angel Day Festival on June 22.
They were presented with certificates by Ednie Wilson, head of the council’s Culture and Arts Department.
The waterproof certificates had a double value when the rain suddenly poured down as we left the screening!
The films were made by Allerdene Angels, Crossroads Young Carers, Whickham School media students and Gateshead Central Area Inclusive Youth Group.
